It is brought via medias that americans are more likely to refuse the adminstration to continue the war in Irak.
I would like to hear from those who still believe the war is worthfull, and their reasons for it. But also from those who have changed their mind during the last 4 years.

I've changed my mind on the whole thing. Firstly I thought the war was breed just from oil and the attack on US. But the longer it goes on the more I am lead to beleive it is another big 'c..k up' like Vietnam and the factors of US fear and paranoia are also main reasons for the war. To continue the war in Iraq is because US havn't acheieved anything other than overthrow a dictator which isn't that a great feat as the UN and Europe did this in a much more powerful country in half the time in the 90's. Will US succeed in Iraq?, no I don't think so, since WWII the US hasn't won any wars accept the arms race. They are fighting this hearts and minds war but to change hearts and minds takes generations you will always have young kids being brainwashed to stand and fight. This war should have ended when Sadam was exceuted and fought by the politians generating the democracy they wanted via the safe soil of the US and telephone. Then there might have been the chance to win this war as in reality the war was won because Sadam was killed.

Its Iraq... this is an American web site.

Secondly... the reason we are in Iraq today is to try and stop the ethnic cleansing that will happen if we just up and leave. There are arguments about why we should have gone or not, but fact is, we are there now, like it or not, and a pull out will be even more of a disaster for the Iraq people and will lead to greater instability in the Middle East. So the argument of, we should have never gone is meaningless... its history and nothing can chage that.

The Iraqi people dont want us to stay in Iraq indefinatly, but they dont want us to just pull out today either.

The other reason is that the terrorist have made it the central front. They are generally losing on the battlefield, but they dont care about that, they want the propaganda victory that they can sell to the uneducated part of the Middle East. It is the central front. It may have been a mistake allowing the terrorists the opportunity to make it that, but it is, for better or worse.

I honestly expected them to dig out all sorts of funky weapons from under the sand. But where are they? Where all those super weapons I've been hearing so much about?

I realised Iraq was invaded for purely selfish reasons... get rid of someone you have a grudge with and watch your friend's companies profit from the war. If Iraq really was 'liberated' because Saddam is a tyrant, when will Zimbabwe be invaded? Or Uzbekistan, or Saudi Arabia or the bigger, more obvious choice, North Korea? Isn't Kim Jong Il a tyrant? Isn't he starving and murdering millions of his people?

Enough of this crap! There's no excuse for these double standards.

well getting rid of saddam is surely a good thing. the man was a monster. i worked with a man from Iraq and he said that saddam was a pig .but unfortunatly the country is now been turned upside down.as there is no stability . i feel sorry for all the people caught up in the violence whom just want to lead normal lives. but now even if all the troops left there would be still be problems. this is going to take a very long time to sort out

It never felt like the right war from my perspective, however I trusted and supported my government until it turned out that Blair was lying.

I do however still support our troops, and I do think that Afghanistan is a war we do have to fight, and that we should have concentrated on getting that won before looking anywhere else.

Who cares about the opinions of someone who cant even spell Iraq and uses terms like worthfull?.It doesn't really make one think 'here's an intelligent question.'Try the spell button'.It shows the American mentality when someone decides this is an American site and dares to tell others how to spell in English.

Where is Irak? Is that a new country? Or is it that you are so uninformed about current events that you cannot even spell the country's name?

What does worthfull mean? Is that a word in the English language?

Iraq is the the US sequel to Vietnam, bloody useless in the first place.

the world needs peace not some crazed leader declaring other world leaders are in "the axis of evil"

its an illegal war and Bush needs the electric chair
