It's the shoes. Get some proper running shoes.

Asics makes some really good, REALLY comfortable running shoes, so does reebok and new balance.

If you don't get proper running shoes, the pain could spread and start to affect other parts of your legs such as the knees, ankles and even your hips..

Use this site as a reference for the shoes, it also has some info on running:

Do you have any residual pain after running? Is your ankle sore then?

While I agree it could be the shoes or how you wear them, I'd see a sports medicine podiatrist or physician to rule out something that could continue and become a bigger problem later.

Frankly, I like Saucony and Asics shoes with lots of cushioning for my high arches.

Good Luck

It may be the shoes. Reebok makes a great running shoe. How tight are you tying the shoes? Make sure you are not wearing very thick socks. Just remember to take care of your feet.

Your no longer used to strolling that plenty. Its probably a pulled muscle that your no longer used to useing on your foot. Do the ice and warmth situation for an afternoon or with the purpose to help heal it. whilst i all started enjoying volleyball my arm wasn't used to the ball hitting my arm plenty and it have been given sore. Thats probably what occurred including your foot. in basic terms stay off of it to help it get extra advantageous, do no longer attempt to stroll or run on it, it will in basic terms make it worse.
