OK, all you people that just laughed at the question, take note: Joe Namath, the famous quarterback, started this trend. You can be warm without bulk, and can move easier and faster in pantyhose than wool long johns. Some slight modification is necessary, because no one makes men's pantyhose.
The panty waists are those who are too chicken to go out in the wild and get their own food and rely on others to do it for them.

Sure, it is completely OK. Men also have legs and why should only women have the prerogative to wear all the nice things. Many men wear pantyhose these days and the numbers of those who do are steadily increasing. It is just a thing that isn't being accepted by society at large, being full of double standards. Women have taken on practically every item of men's clothing into their wardrobe and nobody bats an eyelid about it. When a man wants to put on something like pantyhose, for whatever reason it may be, there is an uproar and mayhem as if it is worse than murder, theft, drug dealing and so on. There are many reasons to wear pantyhose, for man and women alike and I still have to encounter one valid reason not to wear them. This is applicable to either gender.

Actually, Eferrello1, there are companies (in Europe mainly, but at least one in the states) that make pantyhose for men. It is actually becoming quite popular over there for men to wear them for reasons like this and others. They even make some with an opening like on boxers. I see nothing wrong with a guy wearing them for warmth.

I have a couple of pairs of pantyhose, but I don't wear them if I can get away with it. I think that they feel funny, and I don't like them. I'd probably have a bunch of tears on them by the time I got done hunting with the amount of fencing and brush I have to dive through to get to my good hunting spots. That's why I usually just wear a pair of sweat pants (sometimes 2 pairs even) under my hunting clothes. Why waste good pantyhose when my fellow hunters need them more than I do?

There are so many more suitable alternatives. I wear cycling tights, the unpadded variety, they are made to retain warmth when wet and I have them already because I cycle when it's cold.

Not for warmth.

They do come in very handy if you're going to be on horseback for a week. They will literally "save your butt"
