Can anyone apply for the border job or is it just government and no citizens?

To gomanyes56: I meant the government as in National guard,troops. Just wondering if the average Joe can help watch the border because there`s so many places the illegals are still sneaking in. I would help if I could-as the average Jane.

I'm sure whatever they make it isn't enough to put up with all the BS the job entails. I can't believe they still have good people willing to do this job when they put their lives on the line every day and then get prosecuted for defending themselves.

I'm not sure what you mean by "government" and "citizens". You have to be a US citizen to hold such a job. Any US citizen can apply. I believe the pay isn't very high.

They need people I am not sure what they start out maybe 35 a year I guess but the USA and Mexico want to raise it to 20 to life.
