No, who said it was forbidden? I can show you many articles about how to please a wife or how to please a husband on Islamic sites. Go to www.answering-christianity.com and look under Morality and Women. There are a few articles there by itself. In the hadith, there are descriptions of how men are to do foreplay with their wives to get them in the mood. If it's discussed in that, and the Quran says to question everything so you can understand it, then why not talk about it in an appropriate setting? If two are married, nothing should stop them from talking about what they do. My ex was like that. No holding hands, nothing, in front of people. There are hadiths where the Prophet (PBUH) openly declared his love for Aisha and other things, but because of his culture, these were overlooked. How are you to know about something if you don't talk about it? Women are not shy little things, we have feelings too, you know.

Islam does not forbids the discussion of sex. In fact sexual reproduction and sexuality are extensively studied in Islamic jurisprudence and philosophy because of its importance. Sex in Islam is not regarded as something dirty or repulsive, it is considered in fact a noble and righteous act if done inside the sanctity of marriage.
What is forbidden is the glorification and promotion of sex outside marital life. There is no room for pre-marital sex in Islam.
The idea that a progressive nation should be sexually loose (meaning promiscous) is a rotten idea. You can never equates sexual acts with being progressive and civilized. Ghana and Congo are as sexually active as USA, but they are far behind the ladder of development from the USA.

Ask an Imam at a mosque. I know in my husband's country the girls don't find out about marriage and sex until one month before their marriage. I do know that you are not allowed to talk about your sexual relations with other people or your husband or wife in Islam as it is to be a private matter.
