About 45 feet or so. I was popping off rounds like mad at a rabid beercan that was charging me. Bastage got so close that I could smell the stink of his stale beer breath hot on my cheek as that one lucky shot stopped him in his tracks. Right between the 0*0 's! I had to change my underoos that day, I can sure tell ya!

100 yards with iron sights years back when I used to target shoot competively. I don't know if an off the shelf hunting rifle in that caliber can make a kill shot at that range without a scope.

At the range where i shoot we have steel plates at 200 yards, I'm hitting 10 out of 10 off a bench, I wish the range was longer.

about 200 yards never saw the need to shoot farther with a 22 the effectiveness at 200 yards has already dropped significantly

appox 275 paces. Target was a possum. ammo was reminton yellow jacket. Rifle was a ruger 77/22 scoped. once in a life time shot and a one shot kill. That was when I was a kid now 20 years later I would not have taken it....
