Hi Teeyara,
If you look carefully at the large number of sins described in the Old Testament, you see most of them have one thing in common. Most of them are based on the now well known laws of health. Back then, nobody knew what a bacteria was, and had no clue about the dangers of inbreeding. These rules, were given to the Jews, to keep them healthy. The rules about clean and unclean foods, were based on the fact that folks sometimes ate their food uncooked, or improperly cooked. Eating the wrong kinds of things, like pork, can kill you. Same thing for having sexual relations with your nearest kin. Sooner or later, the babies are going to have serious birth defects. Keep it up, and pretty soon, your little clan goes extinct. When you stop to think about it, most of the rules in the Bible are there for our protection, not our frustration. The Ten Commandments are the basic rules for life in this Universe. If you follow them, you have a pretty good chance at a happy life. Start ignoring them, and you have set the stage for misery and suffering, if not death. God is, above all things, a deeply loving Father, who seeks the welfare of us, His children. When we tell our kids not to run out into the street, it isn't because we want to take away their freedom. When we tell them not to put their hands into fire, it isn't because we wish to take away their right to explore life in their own way. So it is with God's instructions for life. He is not a spoil sport, any more than most parents. He just hates to see us suffer for no good reason. So, no marriages between brothers and sisters, is really just a survival strategy. I have seen what can happen when this rule gets broken, and it is truly sad. Peace be unto you..................

Sin doesn't exist, as the concept is only religious propoganda. However, to address some of the things mentioned by other posters, the bible does not mention any female descendants from Adam and Eve. It does mention that Cain traveled to the land of Nod to acquire his wife. This is one of those religious paradoxes because it forces (or causes them to ignore) the fact that Adam and Eve (should they have really existed) were not the only ones here, as other townships already existed. To address the original question, incest is illegal, immoral, and just plain sick.

Yes, but why would I do such a thing? That's creepy. Will admit a certain fondness for the hot son of a customer who came up here last year and was so cute I still think of him, but not my brother. My brother chewing on a Chinese sparerib is going to repel me.

Yeah, chaos is right. I believe you are supposed to be 1/8th cousins before you can have sex. assuming you are married, because any sex outside of marriage is considered a sin. Even thinking about it.

just what would you hope to gain from such . life is far to short to spent it in the pursuit of foolish behavior . the sin is the how much you must suffer from the ignorance of what you would be other than incestual .

It's illegal for sure. In the Bible there was a lot of inner family sexual contact. According to the Bible we are ALL the result of incest between Noah and his family.
