Sure, the Jewish and Christian religions. They record female prophets in the Old Testament and the New Testament. In the OT there is Miriam, Deborah, Huldah, and Noadiah and several others and in the NT there is Anna that comes to mind and others too.

No, but I often think the roles of Esther, Mary Magdalene and others are devalued. There was an excellent French documentary about Mary a few years back.

Acts 21:8 Leaving the next day, we reached Caesarea and stayed at the house of Philip the evangelist, one of the Seven. 9 He had four unmarried daughters who prophesied.
