Well I used to go to church as I child, so I got the idea. I have been to a couple since becoming a Muslim for one reason or another. I wouldn't like to go while they are praying to Jesus, but at other times, for interfaith dialogue, meetings, etc. I don't mind at all.

Why would I be afraid of a building?
Im not ignorant, and the more I know about other religions, the more I know that Islam is right for me.
Its good to understand other peoples religion and culture, and to not be ignorant. Ignorance is what created the whole tension with the West being against Muslims. Simply because their too ignorant to find out about real Islam.
Morgan, your allowed to enter a Mosque. Certain sects of Islam do not allow others to enter, but the majority of branches dont mind at all.

Non-Muslims can visit a mosque. They need to either be accompanied by a person who is a member, or they can contact the Imam of that Mosque to visit.
I know I didn't answer you question, but I just wanted to people to know their options.

I'm muslim and I've been inside a church to vote, and eat cake :D
Every friday, a church near my college is open and served cakes, drinks, etc. Me and my friend went there ate and just spoke with some people there.
I think somehow, it feels a little wrong to enter a building of a different religion, I'm not sure why if you aren't going there to pray, it can just feel like it. I know I felt weird the first time I did

I am not afraid to visit a Mosque, but I feel no need to,it is plain that there is nothing there for me. I am not uneducated, as the average Muslim is, since their religion teaches them that there is no truth outside Islam.

Muslim Mosque I will be onnered to be there. house of Allah it will be the safest place you could go to ever in this planet. even the Queen of UK she came the Mosque with out her shoos and with her hand in her side, so that made her higher in my mind. because I love that woman in some way.
I will never put myself down to enter a church when I could go to higher place.((((((((((Mosque )))))))))).

I believe as a Christian I am forbidden(by Islam) from entering a Mosque. I would not attempt to do so if it is against their will that I be there, although I would be curious as to what goes on in there!

I WAS a christian. I am now muslim.
i do not enter a church, because it is not my place of worship.
and i cannot worship there.
it's not about being "afraid" to go, but more like i don't want to deal w/ the dirty looks and rude comments i would most likely get (cause i went one time, to witness the re-newing of vows of some co-workers, and that's what happened)
it is also prohibited to enter a church because they have idols in there (the cross, and pictures/statues of Jesus(as) and Mary etc-- believe it or not, these are "idols")
and yes, the things i know and have "heard" about christians are true.
my mother, still CONSTANTLY tries to convert me BACK to christianity, and my ex-best friend called me a satan worshipper.
all christians do is prostheletize (sp?) and are so close minded and aggressive, when it comes to trying to talk to them about your true beliefs.
besides Islam is a complete way of life, and it is the one and only TRUE religion of God/Allah (Swt)... i have no reason to go to a church.

I have no reason to visit a mosque. I don't belong there. It is a house of false religion.
