I mean how can i tell for myself? Is it only if my teeth are misplaced or bunched up?

You need to go see a Dentist. They will tell you if one needs to be pulled, & which one. This is their job.
No; it's not only if they are misplaced. Sometimes a tooth is in such bad condition that it needs to be removed.

No, sometimes they have to be pulled because they are too damaged (broken, decayed) to repair. You probably need to consult a dentist to help you determine whether a tooth needs to be pulled out.

No it can be if your tooth is rotten and the nerve is dead. A dentist can tell via xray.
