If you would like to make video files playable on a VCD player, you have to get a CD rewrite (or DVD rewrite) first. You will get a software with it. You can use this software to install in your computer and make video then you can publish it to be VCD or DVD if you want.

if you have Nero Burning software, you can use it easily..
just chose that you want to make a VCD, then the software will convert the video file automatically to VCD format which is .DAT if i'm not mistaken.. haven't played around with VCD anymore.
but, it's good to try.. good luck

get nero software its make great movies tha twill pretty much play on anything, i have it an its great
