That's like asking, "What's the best new $8,000 car?" It doesn't matter, at that price, they all suck.

Best advice 1: Save your money and look at places like www.rockbottomgolf.com

Best advoce 2: Look for a used set, but don't go to Play It Again (or the like), you'll spend too much.

Good luck!

The easiest way to learn golf like a pro is by following "The Simple Golf Swing" program. It's primarily a 31 page eBook that teaches golfers how to make solid contact with the ball, how to avoid hitting fat, how to avoid slicing, how get more power, accuracy, and consistency in your swing. Consistency being the number 1 golf skill.

You not only get the eBook though, you also receive a ton of extra material including video, lessons on putting, driving, chipping, sand play etc. Here is their official site: http://www.golfswingguru.net

Used brand name are the best option, but until you have a sense of feel with your clubs it won't really matter. Go to a local proshop, talk to one of the old guys and get some cheap, but good quality clubs that will help you improve/train your game while developing feel. The in store complete sets don't have the feel that will really help develop your game.

Also, you could just buy half a set since it sounds like you're just starting. You don't need every club until you get consistent to within 10 yards a shot.

Advice, get a good/excellent sandwedge and every other club can be mediocre until you get better. If you have a great sandwedge you'll score better sooner. You'll know what a good shot feels like.

I just bought a set of pre-owned Titleist DCI 962's from Roger Dunn - 2 iron through lob wedge - I negotiated for them to regrip them for free and I spent $150 including tax and they are butter - when I am done with this set in a few years, I will definitely go with Titleist down the road - they are soooo butter - you will not be unhappy - they even give you a free 90 day exchange - how can you go wrong?

Go to an online golf or sporting goods store!
dickssportinggoods.com, golfcow.com, tgw.com, etc..
They have complete starter sets available for around $150.00, that include bag, raincover, driver, two fairway woods, all with covers, irons from 4 thru SW, and a putter, too! (Aquity, a brand ***** Sporting Goods sells, makes good starter sets, that will last)
Check your local sporting goods stores, then compare the internet websites, for golf equipment!
