it sounds like dujur/du jour but in a search it was a soup?????????

In French, it would be "menu du jour" and in English it would be "menu of the day". The word "menu" is the same in French as in English.

Things like Soupe Du Jour are things created for just that day??

Not sure what you mean but du jour means of the day...like whats the special soup of the day.
