What a silly notion!! What makes think that God depends on how we feel about Him/Her? Nonetheless is makes a world of difference for us humans to love our creator since we are designed to reflect the image and likeness of God. What we perceive as love is the energy that brought universe and all within it into existence. Love is a transforming energy that can advance a human into the godly state of beingness.
Are you aware of the fact that we tend to resemble that or who we love?

I think God continues to love us but He has given us free will and therefore the capability to reject His love. He will eventually grant us that which we really want.
