The purpose for worshipping God is solely, attributed to the spiritual relationship (not "religious") a Christian has with God, the Father, through Jesus Christ, actualized by the Holy Spirit. Worshipping God is not about God's ego but is for our benefit. Worshipping a god is common place in our world. What people serve (worship) is his or her god i.e. sex, drugs, money, careers, cars, homes, education, other people, booze, cigarettes, music, jewellery, movies, furniture, clothing, etc., etc. The Christian God is worshipped in both, spirit and truth thereby, ensures a relationship which is nurtured by God for us !!!
