Continuously variable transmission

The continuously variable transmission (CVT) is a transmission in which the ratio of the rotational speeds of two shafts, as the input shaft and output shaft of a vehicle or other machine, can be varied continuously within a given range, providing an infinite number of possible ratios

Fully automatic transmission with a difference Continuously Variable ratios Transmission. I can down load a picture of your exact Transmission Cut Away showing the internal's taken at Detroit Car show 2006. Feel free to E-Mail Me and I will send it to you Nissan uses two cone pulleys and fluid pressure to turn a V belt made of steel. Allowing The engine rpm to stay low and car to speed up. Feels strange but makes great gas mileage.

well i can tell you all these things about the sentra that isn't relevant to your question but i'm going to have to just say: in comparison with other vehicles similarly equipped, the nissan sentra SE-R is a decent car that's "fast enough". a bicycle will always be beaten by vehicle with more mechanical force.

its a fake 5 or 6 speed itthe cvt works basicly on a pully system i think (something like that) and the shifting just limits how far the engin can move
