I just read that aspirin helps you run by thinning your blood, and helping oxygen travel faster so you can run better? I can't find any reputable sources that confirm this though..so i'm asking for any links that people can give me.

I usually don't like to take anything when I run, but I have soccer tryouts monday, and lately i've been running really stiffly, and just going slow because of it so I figure I will take some sort of painkiller, but would Aspirin help me extra?

I have Bayer Aspirin, Tylenol max strength 500mg, and meijers ibuprofin

Links-good sources, any more information no this ASAP would be awesome

Thanks

YOu've given lots of hints in your question but no specifics. Are you in pain? What's with the running stiffly? Then you talk about taking a painkiller.....???

My best advice is to sort out your aches and pains and solve them before anything else.

Secondly, you don't give your age so it's hard to tell if you might benefit from aspirin.

For ex, doctors now recommend an aspirin a day for even healthy adults - BUT that may not be appropriate for a teenager or someone with specific health problems. So the only way to know how to answer your question is to have more information.

I repeat, "My best advice is to sort out your aches and pains and solve them before anything else."

Good Luck

i usually take ibuprofin or advin when my shins are hurting or when my legs are sore, or something like that, not just as part of my daily routine. i think it helps...
