Millions of middle-class Americans can NOT afford health insurance but can't get govt assistance because they "earn too much"?

I have plenty of footage of clinics festooned with Spanish-language signs for CHIPS, Medicare and Medicaid. Many moms in their early teens with several kids. None speaking English, of course. They get all they need. We get nothing. Who can help?

I don't advocate government aid except when desperately needed and only as a safety net...temporary at most.

But how can we even afford that for ourselves? We've squandered approx $4 Trillion given to aliens. What about us?

I believe we should have at least some sort of afforable healthcare for US citizens. Nobody should get a free ride unless they are really desperate. The cost should be much more affordable for basic heath care. Many people wait too long to seek out medical help because they just hope the problem will go away or that they will get better with time. They wait so long because they really don't know where the money will come from to see a doctor.
It is a shame on the Greatest Country on earth to have people in such need with nowhere to go for basic care.
Of course you can go to the emergency room but that is not basic care and it is not always a true emergency.
In Europe, they still have to pay something to see the doctor but it is not costing them so much of their paycheck.
The attitude of the doctors is also different over here in Europe. It is not so much about making a killing on just one or two people.

John Lennon - Imagine Lyrics

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Why aren't any pro amnesty people answering this one? Americans without healthcare is of no interest to them? No, because the mooches they fight for are of more interest. They should remember that EVERY well runs dry and the freebies are coming to an end. NO AMNESTY, NO DREAM ACT, DEPORT. Get with Michael Moore on that , I would love to see such a documentary.

Help yourself. Insurance is affordable, if it means taking less trips to the mall, cooking at home once in a while, working harder, vacationing less, or buying a smaller home, then do whatever it takes if having health insurance is so important. Just stop trying to get me to pay for all of your needs! We shouldn't be paying for the poor either, part of the problem of the current high prices is in covering the poor in addition to endless government regulations and rules that drive up the prices. The solution is not more big brother, it's less!

There is no free lunch, so stop asking for it!
