Could I make alot of money if I stood next to the highway off ramps and held a sign current to my situation that said "Single parent of three, tired, hungry, no money, opportunities, time or help. Please give.

I saw a man hold a sign similar to his situation and almost every car gave him something. I just need money in general, and any sort of in kind help like babysitters so I can attend class and work as much as I can.

In my area they arrest you and take the money that has been given to you. Go to your local Walmart or McDonald's. They are always hiring and are pretty flexible on hours. Don't hold your hand out and expect something for nothing it will never get you anywhere!! I know getting a babysitter can be tough but there are programs in most areas that can help. Try a local YMCA they could probably point you in the right direction. Keep your head up and don't let yourself fall to the level of begging. You have to be a role model for your children!! Good Luck!!

In many areas you have to have a panhandler's license (possibly called by another name) to do that. And remember, the guy may have been holding a sign that had nothing to do with his situation - he may have just found an effective blurb to put on his sign. Many beggars get very good at eliciting sympathy to make their living off of other people.

I would'nt think that was safe to do.

I heard of the lady that had a lot of credit card bills and couldn't pay them off so she started a web site and asked for money. I think she made enough to pay off her credit card bills and more.

Try that before you go for the highway..

Are you serious?

Come on, I am sure that man does not have a computer in his home. If he has a home. He might be living in a "cardboard complex" with his family.

You run the risk of getting called on by child protective services. Check out your child welfare department of the government for state/federal assistance.
