yes there is such a cable-because JVC make them. (in fact i have one now as an auxilliary in my AV system) they are designed for allowing the connection from the audio-video output section of a source (DVD player/VCR etc) to be fed into the s-video input of a TV if all the other inputs are being used. it's called a "composite to s-video" lead. although be warned they are not easy to get hold of.

There is no such cable.

The red/white is used for audio, so you need them whether you use S-video or composite (the yellow). However, you can buy a simple S-Video/Composite adaptor.

yea that cable doesn't make sense cuz s-video doesn't carry audio
