First, what do you consider a hickey? Next, was the rash better, the same or worse the next day? I have noticed my ankles tend to swell some and the right one get purple "bruised" looking blotches if I do more walking than I normally do. This has absolutely nothing to do with diabetes or TV (which I understand to be a ringworm type of infection). It has more to do with the fact that I am carrying a few extra pounds and the fact that I had done severe damage to my ankle when I was younger. If the "rash" isn't better or is worse Monday, then you should at least give your Doctor a call.

My ankles swell every day and when it's hot, I get a rash especially if I wear socks. The rash appears more in the area where the sock fits tighter at the top. I don't have this problem when I can wear sandals so it must have something to do with the swelling and tightening due to the socks. I am on my feet most of the day so only wear sandals on my day off.

The red spots on your legs sound like they could be the start of psoraisis. Its a skin conditon a bit like execema which this time last year i was severly suffering from. Book an appointment with your doctor though to confirm it. In the mean time, try moisturing. Especially is it become itchy. Moisturise your whole body because if it is psoraisis then it is best to keep your skin moisutirised [2-3 times a day] as it drys the skin out severly. I was told that sometimes swelling can be a symptom of it. Working out what it is quickly can stop it getting too bad/spreading. Good luck with it :)

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.
So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.
Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.
A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.
Heal your ankle fully & fast?

Your condition sounds like Tinea Vesicolor (TV)--a quite common skin ailment that's akin to Psoriasis. There's no known medicinal cure for TV---but there are effective treatments.
Your doctor or dermatologist can prescribe Nizoral, a once a year simple dosing treatment, lasting about a week should take care of the "flare-ups"----which decrease with each year you get older; in effect, Nature cures TV in time.
