Well, unless you are sterilizing them or at least wiping them off well beforehand- what do you think? These are all things you wouldn't put in your mouth because you'd expect them to be covered with all sorts of unsavory gerbies, what makes you think your ear is any less sensitive? Anyone of them can injure the skin of the ear, and in the process introduce a wonderul array of germs just waiting to set up housekeeping. If you are just determined to create the largest hole in your earlobe possible, I suggest you visit a piercing shop and purchase stainless steel posts designed to do the job, and then use those after you clean them. Much safer idea if you are just determined to do this.

Sounds like you're a pro now!
Have they been infected?
Anything can infect your ear - even the *sterile* objects you would buy from a piercing shop. The objects your using don't sound sterile at all. As long as you err on the side of caution and utilize sterilization techniques you could probably stick just about anything in your ear :)

Yes, it's infected. Downsize two sizes & do sea salt soaks twice a day for 10 minutes each. Wait one month to stretch again. Only wear metal or glass in fresh stretches. Edit: Satans Assistant just paraphrased my answer... for the 50th time.

It's very likely, especially if you aren't cleaning these "random objects" with alcohol or some other antiseptic type cleaner.
But the better question is, do you're ears look infected?

Yes, if you break the skin or membrane inside your ear while using a dirty utensil, you can get a bad infection.

anything can infect your ear if its not sterile.. so its probably best to stick to metally things that you can dip into rubbing alcohol or w/e first.. but once your ear isnt still sore and doesnt bleed or anythig then it would probably safe to use other things

Checking with common sense... common sense says "yes". Key chains could give you a yeast infection.

My challenge to you is if you can stick your elbow in your ear than you are right, if you cant then everyone else is and you will stop sticking things in your ears.

Yes. Of course. BTW. You can't fit most of those items in your ear. For good reason.
