so loving and forgiving, then why do the churches discriminate against other religions and other lifestyles? I thought that you, as Christians, were supposed to love everybody?
Is the bible a lie then? Or just a big hypocrisy?

I have been to many church functions, and asked the pastors, priests and youth ministers. They have all said the same thing. It is "god's will". Well, I would love someone to explain this to me.

Magwawali-brain- all right, if that is your idea of trying to get me to believe that your god is loving, then you are flying just past the plate. Dude, some priests would do that, so don't give that crap that every one in Christianity would not turn him in. Besides that you were just rude.

The ture Church that Jesus established is a spiritual church. You cannot go to man, to find answers to questions that can only be answered by the Holy Spirit. I am born from above, that is to say, I have received the Holy Spirit, I think in the Spirit, I pray in the Spirit, I live in the Spirit of God. I am not saying I am perfect, I am saying the Holy Spirit guides me, and as long as I listen, and not look away, I am in the will of God.
But the question you've ask is a good one, the churches discriminate against each other, the truth is, most people who claim to be Christians, really have no clue as to what being a Christian is all about. Preachers work for money, ( not all, but most ), the congregations are more interested in what the next entertainment event is than what God wants them to do. While third world countries are dying from poverty, so called christians are worried about their luxuries. The hugh church buildings, running in the millions of dollars, are being built, while out in the street Jesus Christ is hungry, cold and homeless.
I am afraid you can hardly find a true Christian anymore. But when you do, that Christian will show you the unconditional love of God the Father, the Divine love Jesus preached while here on this earth.
The Bible says, " the road to Heaven is very narrow, filled with pot holes and rough terrain, and only a few will even find it. " So if you are looking to commercial christianity for the real Jesus, you will never find Him, look to the Spirit of God, He is there waiting for you.
God be with you,

This is a good question. But you may be misunderstanding the discrimination you see. Jesus did tell us to love one another as he loved us, and that is important. But what happens at church is based on practices of the specific religion. And, in many cases, the practitioners only want those who are in agreement with their theology to practice their religion. It does not mean that they do not care about you. It means they believe that to be close to God certain things must happen and, until you accomplish those things, you cannot be a full member of the church. Not unlike school. You cannot be a sixth grader until you fully meet the requirements of completing the fifth grade. That does not mean the sixth grade teachers do not like you, or that you are being discriminated against. It merely means you are not yet a sixth grader.
Peace and God Bless.

I am a Christian and I will be the first to admit that the church struggles with hypocrisy. But then again so does everyone. Being a Christian doesn't mean that we are perfect, it just means that we are forgiven.
When God created the 10 commandments he didn't expect us to follow them in fact he knew that we couldn't. The commandments were given to us so that we would understand that we were sinning. "Where there is no law there is no transgression"
Read this from the book of Romans 7
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[c] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

Telling a person that what they are doing is not going to make them happy is not discriminating against that person. (Do we, therefore, discriminate against child rapists or murderers? What about people who steal candy bars or start riots? Are we discriminating against them?)
You can love a person unconditionally and still "hate" the sins they have. (We all have sins! Cripes...I probably have done more things to upset my Father in Heaven yet He still continues to love me! I know He does...)

No, in fact, it provides evidence that the bible is true! The bible makes it clear that ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God! It didn't say "all except those who go to church" or even "everyone except those who choose to be leaders of a church"...ALL means ALL. God commanded Christians to love him and to love one another...the bible doesn't say "love God and love those that think and believe like you". In fact, the bible makes it clear that he doesn't reward us for loving people that already love us...their love is the reward...God's rewards come from loving our enemies...from loving people that hate and despise us.

We are to love the soul in away that they will not face destruction, it does not mean we have to like you or agree with you and keep our mouth shut or take part in the sins you do.
Would you expect me to help someone who come to me as a Pastor, and says
"I need help from you, I know you are a Christian and I am homosexuel (different religon) and you have to love me because I have a different life style and am a defferent religon and because of that I know you won't judge me for what I am going to do.
I want to know what it is like to be with a woman, so I am going to beat and rape "Anubis' Daughter" and I need you to pray for me that I won't get caught,
I also need you to help me clean up after it is over to keep me from going to prison, I have a partner and family members and I can not take care of them if I am in prison."
YOU ARE THE ONE WHO SAID "CHURCHES" (NOT SOME, NOT MOST)
YOU ARE THE ONE WHO SAID "CHRISTIANS" (NOT SOME, NOT MOST)
NOW YOU SAY (SOME PRIESTS) SORRY I DON'T CONSIDER PRIESTS AS CHRISTIAN, CHRIST IS OUR PRIEST (THE PRIESTHOOD IS GONE).
I DID NOT SAY (ALL) I ASKED YOU ABOUT (ME) NO ONE ELSE.
I AM SORRY IF YOU THINK I WAS TRYING TO BE RUDE (OR WAS RUDE) BUT I HAVE FOUND OVER THE YEARS THAT SOMETIMES "HITTING BETWEEN THE EYES" IS THE FASTEST WAY TO MAKE SOMEONE SEE.
I DON'T KNOW YOU, I HAD NO TIME TO GET TO KNOW YOU TO SEE IF I COULD APPROACH YOU IN A DIFFERENT WAY, YOU ASKED A QUESTION THAT HAD TO BE ANSWERED IN A MATTER OF MINUTES OR THE CHANCE IS GONE.
OTHERS SEE YOUR QUESTION AND SEE MY ANSWER, I HAD TO GET THE POINT ACROSS (NOW).
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO EMAIL AND LET ME KNOW SOME THINGS ABOUT YOU SO I COULD KNOW YOUR PERSONALITY BETTER (SO THAT I CAN PERHAPS ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS IN A DIFFERENT WAY) I WOULD BE HUMBLED TO TAKE THAT TIME.
