Depends on the pond how bad it is. Why did you drink it? Pray. Go to the doctor.

There are only a few places on Earth, where that natural clear river water is pure enough to drink.....and the number of places safe for such are each day shrinking into non-existance.

Doubts exist your creek water is one safe drinking place. How bad the water is depends daily on bacteria content in the water itself. Still, it's NOT safe to drink untested waters.

If the water you drank is contaminated, look for signs of diaherria, abdominal cramps, vomiting and dehydration. Visit the doctor or local ER should these signs over the next 24-36 hours develop.

From the looks of things you may be susceptible to 41 pathogens, according to this link I've retrieved for you:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waterborne_diseases

If I were the one who drank "creek water" I would probably see a doctor if any severe symptoms arose and didn't pass within 12-24 hrs.

think about it..........people go swimming all the time in lakes, ponds, rivers and there invariably someone swallows some water accidentally..........and there is no mass poisoning of people...........if you drink that creek water a second time you will not be so lucky, btw... have you looked to see what was upstream of where you were, any farms......etc

You took a chance of getting Giardia ( Giardia lamblia )

http://giardiaclub.com/giardia-symptoms.html

Sorry to say in the continental united states if you drink untreated water you are taking a chance of getting giardia. And I am an ex big game guide that used to work in Montana, Idaho, & Wyoming in real high elevations.
Giardia is one real hard bug to get cleaned out of your system and takes a lot of anitbiotics.
Read the link I posted as well as you can just typ in "giardia" in Google and will get a lot of other links.
Hope you don't get it, its no fun and will take up to two weeks to show up.

You only have to be in a lab position to bring a drop of that water into a lab and put it under a microscope. I don't think you'd drink it again.
