A lady I knew told me that cats can develop allergies to their food, and that I should switch up my cat's food. I didn't believe her at first. I had been feeding my cat Purina Cat Chow her entire life and she'd never had any problems until now. I kept feeding her the Purina food and kept cleaning up more and more puke.
One day my cat got very sick and lethargic and threw up every hour for four hours straight. She couldn't eat, just like yours. Finally, we took her in to the vet and he told us to change her food. I bought a different food and she has been fine ever since.

I suggest that you:

1) switch the food (make sure you mix the new food in with the old food. This makes the change easier on the cat's digestive system.)
2) brush your cat at least twice a week (this keeps the hair from slowing down the digestion process. A dog's tick and flea remover brush works well for my cat.).
3) If the puking keeps up after doing steps 1 and 2, you probably should go to the vet and check your cat for worms.

I hope this helps and you don't have to end up spending money at the vet. Have a nice day!

I have to be honest that if your cat is throwing up, the most responsible thing is to get him to the vet. Can you handle a payment plan (Banfield at Petsmart allows that through their "insurance" program) or borrow money? We would only be guessing, and vomiting is a sign of illness. If your kitty won't keep down food he could get liver disease quick. Sensitive stomach food can cause other health problems if it is not actually a sensitive stomach issue your cat is having -- a lot of people give their cats kidney stones or kidney disease by self diagnosing and them giving them a diet that alters the cat's PH into dangerous levels. Is it always food thrown up, or sometimes white foam?
PS, vomit could be due to anything, I don't see any evidence it is parvo. A blood test though would be best to make sure everything is in line:) It is best if you own a pet to save up for an annual checkup anyway to ensure hteir health. That is where places like Banfield can help since they include the annual exam in the payments so you don't have to fork out a ton at once. I went there when I was younger, now I prefer other vets.
PS, MY HOLISTIC VET IS CHEAPER THAN MY ALLOPATHIC ONE, AND SHE IS A GODSEND.

it could be a few things, and some are very serious. as a last ditch effort, try calling a few pet emergency places to see if you can get some sort of discount because it's likely to pass away if this continues. it may have eaten something poisonous, have an obstruction in it's digestive tract, or have a disease. really, it could be sooo many things. if there's really no way to get it to a vet, just be with your kitty and try to keep it comfortable. the less stress the better. keep the lights low, keep kitty in a comfy , quiet place. perhaps you'll receive a miracle. know you're not alone. many people have have felt helpless and scared with a sick pet. we're right there with you. but do TRY to call around. there are amazing people out there who will give help if you ask. GO NOW!

He is a young kitten that is very curious, so their is a very good chance that he may have accidental poisoning. The animal poison control center numbers are:

1-800-548-2423
or
1-800-426-4435

Other symptoms with poisoning are vomiting, seizures, bloating, bright red gums, difficulty breathing, and diarrhea.

Or he could have a medical problem that requires a special type of food that is carried at vet offices. I would get him to a vet asap.Despite what a few people have said about your cat having cancer, I highly doubt that it does. If you cat had cancer, his breathing would of alerted you that there was something wrong. 2 of my cats and my mom's cat had cancer (they were all from the same littler) and the first sign that there was something wrong with each of them was their breathing. They never threw up so don't worry about your cat having cancer.

Mint helps with digestion, but I'd talk to a vet first. There may be something else wrong with your cat. Most vets will work with you if you can't afford to pay the whole bill up front.

Now, part of the reason he may be throwing up every time he eats is because he's eating too much. It's possible he's getting sick because of caloric overload. It happens to animals who are starved. Give him smaller portions and if he doesn't eat it all, pick it up. Keep control of how much he eats and please get him to the vet.

Good luck, sweetie, and I hope that helps.

Try a holistic cat food. They are slightly expensive, but it could be worth a shot. Also, if he is eating the food too fast his body can't digest it very well, thus making him vomit. Try feeding him smaller portions more frequently. Does he have hairballs? Could he have a parasite? He could also be dehydrated from all of the vomiting. There are a multitude of things that could be wrong, or he could just be trying to engorge and his body isn't exactly cooperating. Personally I would take him to a vet to make sure... imho

Does your cat eat too fast? You have to try different cat foods to see which one is suited for him. I doubt your cat has cancer do NOT follow that advice or you could kill your cat. I am sure his stomach is sensitive. Still find out a way to pay for a vet visit.

the cat may have lukemia, I just had one put down with it, but if it is just sick you can give it baby food, baby cereal and formula. if you can get him to drink pedialite that will help. If he is feverish or uncomfortable you can give him half a cc of CHILDREN BENADRYL not generic. I hope he gets better, I know how had it is to watch your cat and be able to do nothing to help him. If I can think of anything else I will let you know, you can also call some vets and maybe find out home remedies, ask about pepto.

Well I would suggest that you do take it to the vet because you wouldnt want to just assume that he has a sensitive stomach and he may have something that needs vet treatment.

If your cat goes outside and becomes in contact with other cats, take it to the vet. My cat was very sick and if I had not taken her to the vet, I would have lost her..
