Me being a football fan...
If he is found guilty, he would probably be suspended for 4 to 5 games. Also a possibilty of a fine.

Not counting how long he goes to jail 4

For some one to get banned he would have to probably kill some one or rob a bank.... Lots of players get found with drugs and are fined and suspended for a game or two.

Is he really that much worse than hunters who kill animals for sport? What about bullfighting?
I would never go to a dogfight or support people who did this sort of thing but I think there has been a huge overreaction.
Unless we are going to jail everyone who kills animals for sport he should get no punishment.
Dick Cheney shot a guy while hunting animals bred specifically to be released and killed. He received no punishment(which is consistent with how other hunters are treated) but Vick is supposed to go to jail? I love dogs too but this is kind of insane.

Michael Vick can not do anything wrong. The Judge dumped a lot on him. He lost his License to have dogs ,he can't buy any dogs, he can't fight them,he can't even get caught driving and drinking, He can't break any law, that's what the Judge did to him. He even lost he Passport so he can't leave town. He can't even go to a dog fight. He can't even go to the Training camp for the practice. I hope they do something that he will learn from for life. They are leaning toward his Suspension. I even heard that a dog toy that was made to look like Michael Vick was made so dogs would able to have a toy to rip up that looks like him. This was all on the News.

He should be fired, and permanently blocked from professional sports. Dog fighting is unforgivable, and a professional sportsman knows this, but is so arrogant he thinks he is above the law and the culture. Set him adrift on a leaky raft in a tidal wave.

I think asking this question again, is somewhat like beating a dead horse.
He needs to be "found" guilty then the appropriate treatment should ensue... Maybe, he will go to jail with a bunch of guys who left their beloved pit bulls behind when they went to jail and they will take their misery out on him....

If found guilty, he ought to be in jail. He needs to be held responsible for his actions whether directly present or not. It is his property and he must be held accountable. In which case, he definitely should be fired.

He should be staked down and ripped to shreds by the dogs they recovered on his properties.
