ok so i am twelve years old going into seventh grade and im really short. like im only like 4'10'' 1/2. im really skinny too. is there anything i can do while im still growing to make me turn out taller when im full grown. i eat healthy (4 the most part) and i play volleyball. so im athletic too. but i would really like to be taller. like i want to be 5'9'' when im an adult. (i wish) but my feet have just recently grown like 2 sizes and they are like too big for my body the docter said i should have a grothspurt soon. but what else can i do to be taller??

If you are still within the growing age then perhaps you can add a few inches by eating a balanced diet and leading an active life. A nutritious diet that includes fruits and vegetables, dairy, cereals, meat, and plenty of water will aid the natural process for enhancing height. A good and proper night’s sleep is also essential for the growth process. Taking part in active sports along with some stretching exercises can have a cumulative effect on human growth. There is not much we can do to grow taller after puberty. There are many products in the market today that claim to increase height of adults, but they are all scams without sufficient scientific evidence. Surgical options, though available, are EXTREMELY RISKY and of course expensive. This leaves us with basically two options.

1. Stretching Exercises: - These exercises will help you improve your posture. You’ll be surprised that how much of “Height” is hidden behind your slouched back. hi there.. just hang on..When I was 11 (6th grade) I was 4'11"... 12 (7th) 5'2"... 13 (8th) 5'4"..14-15 (9th) 5'6"... so you see. It just takes time. I too am athletic I am 15 and I am going to be a sophmore now. I thought myself I was never going to grow now I am taller than most of the people at my school. and yes my feet at once were too big for me at a time. hope this helps.

I hate to break this to you but you cannot control your height (besides wearing high shoes)

You might have a growth spurt. Look at the people in your family, if your parents are tall you might be too.

Being short has it's perks too you know.. I am 24 years old, I'm 4'11 and 95lbs. I love it. I am in great shape and I model. I get to wear tiny clothes and still look cute.

dont worry about it everybody like short people because they are diffrent, and by the middle of your 7 th grade you will be at least a 2 to three in ches taller, at least i was.

Don't think to yourself "I'm too short." Accept the height you are, and love it. But at the same time, envision yourself getting taller. Act as if you are already tall. Use great posture, stand up straight, don't slouch.

Pilates exercises are supposed to lenghten your muslces and make you appear taller. Other than that I dont know what you could do besides enjoying your height.

Cows are fed growth hormones. Drink milk that is not organic. Today's generation is much taller due to people eating beef and drinking milk from cows that have been fed growth hormones.

You have to give yourself a chance to groe and develop in time. You are still very young, so take care of yourself- just et right and you do get exercise, so you are fine. Just relax and in time , you will start to grow into adulthood. bettyk
