When Jesus spoke of birth pains in an jewish apocalyptic manner he spoke of a re-birth after that we know that as a second coming of christ but now some religious leaders are adhering to the Mayan prophecy of 2012 as a guide of this rebirth of things all new to come..
Do you think they are being heretics OR do you think Jesus and a Pagan faith of the Mayans had an apocalyptic vision that jesus might of exposed to them?

If you take the prophecy of Daniel 12 speaking of the abomination that makes desolate being set up, 1290 YEARS from that point comes 1967, 45 years later is 2012. The abomination is Islam, it set up the dome of the rock in 677 AD, and the days being years is the same as the 70 week prophecy is determined.

Many prophecies make themselves fulfilled I'll give an example:
Merlin predicted that France would be invaded by England and a Maid from Lorain would lead the French armies to victory.
The rise of Joan of Arc would be dismissed as shear fiction if it hadn’t happened so recently and had the wealth of documentation and artifacts associated with the event.

This is a prophecy that at least in part fulfilled itself. There’s no way that a female, especially a 14 year old female, would be allowed to lead an army of Christians at that point in history. Merlin however was a popular occult figure rather like Edgar Cayce is now. Everyone knew about his prophecy so when a 14 year old girl stepped up to fulfill the role of Maid the political powers quickly capitalized on the situation. One can tell by reading what was written from the time that the people involved for the most part didn’t believe God sent Joan.

Still Merlin predicted it and 300 years later against all reason it occurred.

The Christian predictions scare me. Not due to any inherent accuracy of any other Christian predictions but because we tend to ALLOW things to slip by so reality unfolds as we expect when convenient. Do you really think George W would stop something bad if it was in his power to do so if it would fulfill his favorite prophesy? Wouldn’t stopping what one considers the inevitable be against Gods will?

It’s an “odd bodkin”. Make friends with a witch and ask about those. :)

I don't see how 2012 could be the end because the Tribulation is 7 yrs. That's only 5 yrs from now and also the anti-Christ will be the deceiving world leader for 3-1/2 yrs.

Jesus meant that just as we know when the pregnant mother starts to get birth pains, there will be signs before the coming of Lord Jesus.

8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.Matt 24

Initially, though I was born in a christian family, I dint know the truth about the existence of God and truth in bible. But when I overcame my sin by stopping it, then I felt the tremendous joy one day, as I read one of the book,"Shaping of an Apostle" by June Newman. Aften almost a year, I received Holy Spirit just as Jesus had said in bible, how surprised I was when I knew every word in the bible was true. As if blindness was gone and I was able to see. All praises to God.
Here's how God changed my life,

might desire to be...if I study you info wisely, then you fairly're suggesting that the diversities in our climate might desire to be stimulated by utilising God and are area of his plan...if so, then I agree that's a probability. on the different hand, I do think of that worldwide warming (and cooling) is a organic area of the makeup of this planet...purely yet another of MANY phenomena on the planet that function in a cyclical way. you're able to bear in mind that those climatologists and environmentalists are basing their end that the planet is getting warmer on decrease than 2 hundred years (and on occasion, decrease than a hundred years) nicely worth of particularly documents...something of the information is surrogate documents. extra importantly, that surrogate documents of course helps the theory that this planet follows a organic cycle that comprises slow warming accompanied by utilising speedy cooling...and that burning fossil fuels (and the different issues we'd choose in charge the present warming vogue on) did not play a function interior the previous cycles! ingredient is, if worldwide warming is the commencing up of start pains...a training for God's next substantial overhaul of this planet OR no remember if that's an area of a organic cycle, we've no wish of influencing that technique. The scientists that have self belief we are in charge for the present warming cycle are a similar ones that have self belief this planet has suffered via countless "ice a while" throughout the time of the final 4.5 (or so) billion years. in case you seem at THEIR documents, it form of feels especially clean that we are due for yet another one. ...and if it is real, then the suggestion that we can grant up this one is wildly arrogant!

Wait?

Do you believe in Jesus, or the gods of the Mayans?

Isn't that like having a false idol or another God before Yahweh or something?
