I used to hate them, with a passion. But lately I have a new appreciation for the layered balls of tear inducing goodness. Raw, no way...still can't do it, but cooked...they turn into candy. Have you tried them carmelized? Slowly heated with butter and salt they carmelize and it is pure delight to the tastebuds. Throw them on steak, chicken, burgers, turkey burgers. Or sauted, or on a grill with olive oil, salt and rosemary. Mmmmm, but to each their own. If you don't like them that is ok too. You'll never have to go through the pain of slicing them while your eyes burn red!

There are two main classifications of this underground bulb: green onions (also called scallions) and dry onions, which are mature versions of the former. Onions come in a wide range of colors, shapes and flavors. Boiling onions are small versions (up to 2" in diameter) of yellow, white or red onions. When cooked, onions will become translucent.

I do not like onions on my hamburger or just in a recipe. I tend to pick them out. I will however eat them if they are cut up very tiny and blended in really well.

I put onions in almost everything I cook. I grill them, saute them, and eat them raw. My son was complaining cause he didn't like them and he always pulled them out of what ever he ate. One day he was eating them on fajitas and from then on he likes onions. Your taste buds change every few years.... don't forget to try them again soon.

I don't like onions on anything unless they're onion rings. Even then they aren't all that great. They're just okay.
