To me, religion is the practicing of a particular faith; and spirituality is what we have INSIDE.
What's your interpretation?:)

Religion is just a word. It's a word I can do without. It is too general. It's too lumpy. It puts alot of things together that do not need or want to be together.

Spiritual is different. Some people like to call it "what you are", but I'm not sure that is right. The term is thrown around alot and I'm not sure anyone can truly define it. So that leaves it open to the person.

This I do know. What is truly important is your "personal" relationship with God. Nothing else matters. Whether that relationship is moving forward, stalled, growing, or in conflict; it is important that you are having it. If that makes me "spiritual", then OK.

They're very closely related, but I'd say religion is along the lines of what you believe, whereas spirituality is more of what you practice (e.g. prayer, worship) and feel inside as a religious person. I think spirituality is a part of religion.

To me, being religious is something that you do and are totally committed to. Being spiritual is having God's spirit touch you in a way.. It's more than just religion.

to me being spiritual is being more open minded,
I am more of a spiritual person rather than a religious person, because I believe in all religions are right...
I dont know if that makes sense, but I cant put my thoughts in words

I agree with you. You practice religion but you feel spirituality

being religious is the act of religion and being spiritual could have many different meanings. why don't you try a relationship with Jesus?

Religious is doctrinal. Demands condescension and smugness. Commercial and evangelical

Spiritual is listening to the spiritual side of the self, following a chosen spiritual path and allowing others to follow theirs.

Religion is the ritual of practicing faith, ie communion, prayer, etc...

Spiritual is our relationship with God, who is inside us, and who is a Spirit...

I think you are right.

i think being religious has to do with worship, service, church things, and what you believe in, while spiritual is more in depth...like prayer...idk, more emotional?

and to nemo....i think i know what ur saying....but if i didn't know what you were saying, what you said dind't make snese, because to believe all religons are right means to believe in God, Allah, Zeus, etc.

But i think what you were saying is that all religons are right...as in everyone should feel free to believe what they do?
