You are absolutely right. God doesn't hate anyone, God is Love so threes no way He can hate. But He does not like the things that we do and when we sin God cries. Homosexual acts are indeed a sin but no matter how different or big the sin is they are all equal in Gods eye and we will all be judged accordingly. The Lord tells us to love thy enemies so why would He be a hypocrite and hate? We aren't even worthy of Gods love but He is such a gracious and lovingly God that He loves us as we are. Just know that whoever is holding that sign that says that is a hypocrite. That don't love that homosexual so that feel that God doesn't enough. In fact they've made up there own idol god. We're all not perfect so why expect others to be? Just pray for and love them as Jesus tells you to love.
Matthew 7: 3-5 (3) Why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye but don't notice the log in your own eye? (4) Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' and look, there's a log in your eye? (5) Hypocrite! First take the log out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

An aside on the English language. At one point of our, not long past, history, A person could be said to be; "Sucking on a f_a_g." or at a bit later period "Sucking a B_u_t_t." There would be few eyebrows raised and those were over the use of slang not the meaning, as both meant "Smoking a cigarette." On another shoe, the the last decade of the 18th century was titled "Gay," but I guess that would be a choice of sorts.

"Love the sinner, hate the sin" is pretty sound advice for this. God might have hated people in the OT, but the sacrifice of Christ made sure that God would not hate anybody ever again; he is a forgiving and just God, according to most people who believe in him. Those people (The Westboro Baptist Church, headed by Fred Phelps) are so utterly pathetic that they just want others to be as miserable as them.

The living God hates sin. All sin. Period.
He hates the sin, not the sinner. Sin separates us from the living God. He is a holy and righteous God. He always does what is right and good. He is faithful.
God loves everyone...but not everyone loves God.
We either live by His commandments or we don't. He will honor our decision in where we choose to spend eternity.

Good Call...I fully agree.
If God hates one sinner...by proxy God would have to hate all sinners.
And those who "ask for forgiveness from sin" who continue to sin by pointing out the sins of others...are no better than the people they preach against.

I agree...those people are deceived by some kind of religious dogma and a misinterpretation. God does detest certain behaviors but he doesn't hate people.

I agree those signs are wrong.
But "Jacob I loved, Esau I hated" is in Romans 9 quoted from Genesis.

God loves the sinner, but hates the sin. God loves us all and wants all of us to repent so we can be closer to him. God bless.
