Unless your husbands buddies are the Joint Chiefs of Staff or the Army's Chief of Staff then disregard it as a baseless rumor. The only time we would have such a major deployment would be World War III.

If you mean that 3/4 of the entire active duty force is going to deploy at the same time then the answer is a resounding no. The US military doctrine is set up to be able to be ready to fight two wars on two different fronts/theaters at any given time. And if 3/4 were deployed simultaneously it would not be capable of handling two full wars breaking out.
However, every major active duty unit is rotating through deployments in the Balkans, Korea, Iraq, and Afghanistan (as well as other places as needed).

Almost all the Army is deploying. Not 3/4 all at once. Deployments are based on rotation. But yes most of the Army is going to be deployed.

We could have no way of truly knowing anyway. Don't worry, I'm sure you will be able to be with him for a while... remember that you can never believe most of the rumors that go around in the military, no matter how exciting or frightening because it is usually just misinterpreted hear-say.
I hope all goes well, and tell your husband I said "Thank you!"
God Bless!

No. It's logistically unsound. If you deploy 3/4 of the Army, how are you going to possibly have enough people to replace them?

No...
Our Military has over 2 million people, only 165,000 are in Iraq; nowhere near 3/4.
