I just got home and my headlights won't turn off with the knob. When I turn the vehicle off, the headlights are still on. H-E-L-P. Don't tell me Fords are junk. I know that already.

either you have a short in the wiring going to the battery or your switch is not disconnecting when you push it back in( i believe its a push pull switch in a 98?). you can disconnect the battery and take it to a service staion tomorrow if your worried about your battery going dead by morning. or you can take the switch apart and clean it and see if that works.

well sounds like the switch is broken and with it being dark my only suggestion would be to disconnect the battery until the sun comes up and you can look at it. but i have to ask, does it have the auto headlight feature ???
