wonderful news, terry g! i don't know you personally but i can empathize. i do admire women who decide to have babies even when they're already in their 30's and beyond. it takes tons of courage and loads of love to to do that, not to mention immeasurable faith in God that He will be at your side at all times.
i had my first baby when i was a few months shy of 35 and delivered normally a 6.7lb. baby. my second baby came 10, yes, 10 years later when i was already 45, and things still turned out well although i had to deliver by C-section.
take heart because technology is on our side. but most important of all start taking folic acid (available as folate capsules, around 7pesos plus in most drug stores), research shows that taking folic acid months before you actually get pregnant is a good boost for future fetal development, most especially for the brain. minimize or avoid coffee and alchohol and keep up with a healthy lifestyle. best of luck!

I was a young one I was 18 but i was already married I got married at 17. 34? you still have time my mother had me at 31. Whenever you are ready is good, I unfortuantly will have no more due to a medical problem. Good luck when you start trying and I hope you enjoy motherhood.

I was 27 (1 month away from 28) but don't worry though, my friend was 35 when she had her first & she had a healthy & happy baby girl & she's 36 now & planning to have another soon. I was just talking to my mother about this topic today & we were saying how a lot of women today are waiting till their 30's to have their first kids!!

I was 22 years old with the first and 26 with the 2nd. However, I am 41. People used to have children earlier. Now, they wait. Just don't wait too long. The longer you wait, the harder it will be for you to conceive.

I was 23 (have a 10 month old). I was lucky I found a wonderful man who wanted a family as early as I have. The women in my family have all gone through menopause in their 30's hysterectomys and all.
