God is telling you to live your life in his name and I also think that God wants to give you a special mission.

Like I tell people, the mind finds death to be odd. It knows that you will be on a higher plane (hill) and that you will be in a type of sleep (going down). That you be with other people and you won't go until time for you. Your mind is just wondering about death. It's not something we talk about often and your mind makes up for that by dreaming. Your mind wants to know.

Well, I just answered another question about dream interpretation, so looks like I'm on a roll. I'll try to answer your's also. Dream interpretation has always been one of my interests, and I have a book that I use whenever I want to try to figure out one of my own dreams. I just looked up your question about dreaming about your own death, and this is what it says:
"You're dreaming of your own death. It could be death from a disease, an accident or a violent crime. Sometimes the sensation is quite immediate -- you can feel your life slipping away. But occasionally, you participate in the dream scene as a kind of omniscient observer; you can see your own behavior as well as the responses that other characters in the dream have to you and your death. In many cases, dreaming of your death expresses a wish to avoid responsibility for a difficult situation in your waking life; after all, death is the ultimate escape from a problem. If the dream is a suicide, you may be feeling trapped in a problem, with no foreseeable way out except to "end it all." (This doesn't necessarily imply that you have contemplated suicide, merely that your dreaming mind wants your problem to go away quickly and permanently.) Death (and birth, for that matter) also serve as common dream metaphors for big life change -- recent endings or new beginnings. Perhaps you have been recently widowed, or are struggling with empty-nest syndrome, or have recently lost a job or started a new career. You may unknowingly view the rite of passage as the "death" of a certain part of your life or personality. It's common to take some time to adapt to a new situation, and mulling over the attendant grief and conflicting emotions in the dream scenario may help you cope. According to Jung, dreams of your own death send a message that, for the sake of your own inner growth, it's time to move forward and leave behind certain aspects of your old self -- negative emotions such as guilt and bitterness. In doing so, you open yourself up to greater enlightenment and self-acceptance."
(This is from me) -- It sound like (to me) that because this dream happened in your teens, and from what my book says about dreaming of your own death, a very simple interpretation would be that you were preparing for your own big life change of moving forward with your life and going into adulthood and leaving behind yourself as a child. Or perhaps you did have a huge problem at that time and your subconscious saw no way out except for the ultimate escape, which is death. But since every person's dreams are very personal, only you can really figure out what your subconscious was trying to tell you. Since you only had this dream once, evidently whatever was going on got resolved. I hope that this helps.
