Yeah, it's pretty good. The military historian in me prefers the historical stuff, like the current rerun of the Discovery Channel's "Wings of the Luftwaffe", and UK Channel 4's "20th Century Battlefields". I always hold these series up, to folks who don't think you can combine interesting history with excellent research.
I don't care for most of the weapons programs, as having operated some of the systems they describe, they're a little too parroting the contractor's line for me.
Finally, I'm also a fan of the advertising time they give to NPO's that support military members and their families.

discovery channel is good, history channel international is better than the history channel; I have never seen the military channel (though i'm a vet); I like CSPAN, especially when they interview authors on Sunday nights; ESPN is good too, sometimes, though I hate the fact that they televise Poker. I used to get BBC News channel, but no longer, and that saddens me, since that is the best source of TV news in English on the planet.

Seems to have a pretty good selection...

I don't like the historical documentaries as much as the technical shows -- but that's a personal preference. It's good that they have the broad range so there is something to appeal to everyone.

CNN and Fox were the military channels back in 2003. Everytime I turned on the TV that year, there were generals telling us how we would succeed in Iraq after we invaded.

I like the shows they do on the different training programs, I find those more interesting than weapons. :-)
