Well, the reason we go from door to door is because we're commanded to do so at Matthew 28:19, 20. In following through with that command, we're following Jesus example that he set while on earth. He went from house to house, village to village, and spoke with people of all sorts every chance he got about the good news of God's kingdom, and that is what JWs do today. We do it because we love God and want to please him and obey his commandment to preach and also because we love our neighbors, which is also a commandment.
As far as our view on Catholics or any other religion for that matter, we do not have any particular views about them. We do not pass judgement on ANYONE, rather, we follow Jesus example and preach to ALL people of all sorts.
For more about what we believe, please click the link below. And thank you for not being rude and for asking a sincere question. The next time a JW comes to your door, if you have the time and you're feeling better, please listen to what they have to say. WE ARE NOT TRYING TO CONVERT PEOPLE WHEN WE KNOCK ON THEIR DOORS. Even Jesus knew when he preached that he wouldn't convert everyone listening. We just encourage people to get to know the Bible better. Any questions you have, we answer them from the Bible.

The people who knock on your door will be honest and sincere, truly believing all that they are taught. They have a sincere love of Jehovah God and Jesus and wish to encourage everyone to seek the truth in the Bible, regardless of their religion. However, the organisation teaches that there is only one true religion, theirs, and that all other religions, but most notably the Catholic religion is part of Babylon the Great or false religion and soon to be destroyed at Armaggedon. Talk to them by all means but remember that, as far as they are concerned, NO-ONE knows the truth about anything pertaining to God, Jesus and Gods plans other than them. Use your own Bible and don't let them tell you that theirs is no different from yours except for the use of Jehovahs' name, this is not true. Before you find yourself caught up in the excitement of the 'truth' "Make sure of all things; hold fast to what is fine". " Thessalonians 5:21. If you get as far as studying the Bible with them, remember that this is supposed to be a Bible study and not the study of their literature and use your own Bible again. Don't be hoodwinked into the tale that theirs is a more accurate interpretation, it is not. Research everything for yourself before accepting what they say is true.

Hello. First thank you for the nice, polite question. The reason we come to people's doors is, in part, because Jesus Christ mandated Christians to do so. We go from house to house to offer to share Bible teachings.
We go to people of any/all faiths. If you are Catholic, then it only makes sense that you and how you decorate your home would reflect it.
Catholic's are like us, people pursuing God in their own way.
Please feel free to ask ANY questiions of the Witnesses when they come back, and certainly do not feel forced to visit with them if you don't want to. We certainly don't want to waste your time. You sound like a very polite person, I think both you and they will have fun talking.
Hope this helps.

I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and we respect every other religion, but we go door-to-door to preach to others about the Good News of God's Kingdom, just like Jesus did.

Jehovah's Witnesses do no longer condemn all of us, that's not our top to try this. we are no longer a cult that follows some guy's thinking. We base our ideals completely and firmly on God's be conscious the Bible and attempt to stay in accordance to the course he can provide by it. We have faith Jesus is the son of God, no longer God himself. in certainty, you will no longer discover one scripture interior the completed Bible the place Jesus claims to be god. Jehovah God has approved his son Jesus to be the decide over mankind, and because 1914 Jesus has been lively with the aid of fact the King of God's Kingdom. 1914 isn't a HOAX as you declare. it grow to be a turning element in human history as many historians from diverse backgrounds will verify. (no longer basically Jehovah's Witnesses) 1914 grow to be a year pointed to by ability of Bible prophecy which any of Jehovah's Witnesses can clarify to you in case you ask them. the will of Jehovah's Witnesses is to no longer sentence all of us, yet fairly we'd like the comparable situation as Jehovah God and Jesus Christ choose, that no one is destroyed whilst God's day of judgement arrives. 2Peter 3:9

Being in several denominations previously, I can tell you universally how other churches, or JW's, feel about Catholics.
The universal feeling is that Catholics are caught up in dead religous symbolism/ceremony, that many of their practices, beliefs, rituals, etc are pagan in nature, ( to be honest, this is very very true), that they teach heresy (eg, praying to Mary, praying to saints, purgatory, transubstantiation) and they don't believe in the words of Jesus about being born again.
I've read JW magazines on Catholics, and they basically say the same thing about them as the other churches.
