The truth is subjective, and is difficult to discern; but white lies are more obviously false, and, more believable than the truth. In addition, white lies are often more comforting, and less harsh.

The truth is true, and a little white lie is not the truth. Even if a white lie isn't hurting anyone, that doesn't make it true or good. And maybe not all truths are nice, so you might think you are doing someone (or yourself) a favor by telling a little lie, but how does anyone know what is really going to be better - for someone to know the truth even though it hurts, or for them to stay happy thinking something else that isn't true?

Morally ? not all that much , infact a little white lie can be an act of kindness ,,, but when pressed , if you don't come clean , you've crossed the line , Honesty is not all its cracked up to be ,but its only your call untill some one asks for the truth, if not the truth then ,,,it's a lie nothing white about it.....

Everything in this universe is a lie. “In the world but not of it”, isn't a recommendation.

If you ask who I am I can't give enough answer for it to be the full truth. One should give as much truth as possible for the greatest good.

Consider, you've been up all night worried about a project even though you know you've done a good job. You go to work and your boss asks, "How are you?" just before your presentation. Is it a "Lie" to say "Great, thanks for asking and how are you?"

The black and white interpretation of life is a harsh contrast to what life frequently requires. By loudly proclaiming a white lie to be a full on lie one sounds like they don't lie when in fact they do just as we all do. The proclamation also opens the possibility of judging someone after "discovering" that someone has lied for expedience, convenience or by sensible omission of information that is either to detailed, or personal to share.

I ignore little white lies; they are as much a part of our individuality game as makeup and just as honest.

There’s much more to say so please don’t accuse me of lying by not telling you all of it because you wouldn’t read it anyway.

couldn't a white lie be ok under some circumstances?
Like when David in the bible acted crazy so the philistines wouldn't kill him? He wasn't really crazy?
Or Rehab the harlot told them the spies went out another way and they were on the rooftop.
Abraham said Sarah was his sister. She was but he knew that is not what the king meant. He meant is she up for grabs.
You are not obligated to disclose everything.
Remember the king who showed all his wealth and later lost it because of that. What was he to do say I have none?
Sometimes rather than lying just fail to tell everything.
IN the story about Lazarus in the bible that Jesus told he said Abraham was in heaven and Lazarus was in the bosom position with him. No one had been resurrected to heaven yet. because Jesus was the first. They asked if he was going to Jerusalem. He acted like he wasn't, then later he went. what I had to go thru to justify lying.

Actually, not only were Iraqis dying at the rate of 2000 per month during the Clinton food-for-oil sanctions regime (mostly children under age 5 were dying because the US forbid them to import chlorine to purify their drinking water) but Clinton also bombed Sudan's only malaria medication factory, in fact the only medicine factory in Africa. That Sudanese factory was also the only factory supplying Iraqi cows with a treatment against a biological warfare worm that previously only existed in America. Basically Clinton's goal was to kill Iraqis by destroying their food supply. Bush has a more straightforward approach. Republicans like to burn people to death, Democrats prefer poor people to die slowly slowly and quietly.

If I tell you that is a great question, is it sincere or flattery?

Sometimes "it is none of your business" is true, but a little "white" lie might make you both feel better!

Samantha,
TRUTH is NOT sinful in the Eyes of GOD. A lie is sinful because it originated with satan. Have a nice evening and a wonderful week.
Thanks,
