All depends, doesn't it.

As an atheist, I understand that the "Christian" has a world-view in which he's right to believe as he does, and I'm wrong. And as long as he's consistent, it's impossible to raise an objection. If the "Christian" wants to believe that the Earth is 6,000 years old, he'll find a way to dismiss all the evidence to the contrary; and in his mind, it's not "cheating" to claim that Satan influences paleontologists to back-date dinosaur fossils. Those are the terms with which he works. I myself am an agent of Satan in making this argument; and the better I am at it, the stronger the stranglehold of the Dark One on me. You see? It's airtight.

Take an analogy: say somebody insists that the moon is the fixed center of the universe. Nobody can really contradict this; one simply switches the calculations over to suit. The practical objection to this scheme is that it's inconvenient for astronomers.

Science, meanwhile, is the search for more convenient methods of conceiving of things. It doesn't aim at "ultimate truth." Religious people tend to think that this is a weakness of science, when in fact it's a strength - it's science's safeguard against dogmatism.

In short, either the believer or the nonbeliever might complain about the "BS" coming from the other side. I'd only qualify my objection by insisting that the scientific way of looking at the world is more convenient and fertile than the religious way. And the "Christian" would counter that I'm a selfish secular hedonist and moral relativist...lol.

you can be either and not take anymore of the b.s. one doesn't imply exasperation as opposed to the other. plenty of people who "believe" or have faith find themselves just as put off as atheists.

Don't be too hard on yourself. If you can't stand the B.S., switch to the B.A. and make life easier for yourself.

I'd say you're just like any other person... I wouldn't guess, not based on that question. To me, it doesn't matter if you believe in something supernatural or not.
