VET PRONTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Batteries have all sorts of harmful chemicals. They are usually encapsulated by the case but that can be eaten away by the hydrochloric acid in the dogs stomach. Get him to the vet and get it removed before the casing starts to leak.

OMG yes it could kill him. The battery could leak or it could cause an obstruction. You need to take your dog to the Vet and get an X RAY immediately. The Vet needs to know exactly where the battery is and how much of a danger your dog is in. The dog may need Surgery. Don't put this off...

OMG bronteheights is absofreakinlutley right. You need VET. ASAP, if you know for sure he has swallowed a battery then he needs to be seen. Don't wait for symptoms, by that time it might be too late. His stomach lining could be damaged forever if not seen and given meds. If lining becomes damaged then he may not be able to hold down food in turn becoming lethargic, which could cause more problems, even death.
PLEASE take him to VET. if closed they have vet ers find one yellow pages look under veterinarians.

Make sure you give your vet all the details don't wait for them to ask you, just tell them everything, the more they know about it the better they can prepare and ule out b.s. things and get to the real factor.and be prepared for the vet. to recommend surgery for the removalof this battery.

Vet, immediately. The corrosive acids in the battery could injure or kill your dog.

It will kill him if you don't get him to a vet or get it out. It burns through their stomach or intestines. Is it a small watch battery?

You might consider trying to make him throw it up right away. Try peroxide. This is an emergency. You can't just "let it pass". It will burn his digestive track.
