Where is the computer diagnostic (obd) on a 1995 mercury villager / nissan quest? Specific model info only.

Consult 1 and consult 2 diagnostic tool needed the white OBD 2 looking plug is for Trans and anti lock brake functions. The gray plug is the Diagnostic Data Link in the fuse box area. And you can retrieve codes on the engine control module behind the glove box by turning the screwdriver straight slot carefully clock wise and wait till the third flash then turn back and watch red and green led's flash 55 means no DTC's stored. More info like what the Van is doing would be help full

It's an OBD1 system which means that it has a ford-like double plug (one small for a single wire and one large kind or trianlge shape) hanging from the main harness on the firewall under the hood.

It didn't break prematurely . It's 11 years old!
