The magic - the mythology the "horrors" of Birth control. Since the day the first pill was issued its mystique has not diminished it promises fewer and lighter periods with a steady regularity (true) it promises ease of intimacy with no repercussion (not true it does not protect from STD and is not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy) it will give you a more "womanly figure" (bigger boobs rounder hips, etc) not true only genes can do that. reality is it regulates your period and used correctly prevents conception 99% of the time if you double up and use a second method (condom) it is even more effective. As for clearing skin the stress of the unknown (a common malady when behaving in a manner you know to be inapproriate) is greatly reduced and there fore so are breakouts. If you use the pill there are side effects and all manner of judgements but ultimately you need to know if it is worth it for you. Personally it never prevented pregnacy for me but it did give me a regular period and that was a great stress reliver - so look at the facts and if you are old enough to make the decision make it in your own best interest and remember to double up for the "intimacy". good Luck!

The pill can make u gain weight. I don't know about the boobs bigger. I would advise you to call the health departrment, they will know. The best thing for acne is to was your face everyday. Birth Control is for Not getting pregnant not bigger boobs or to clear acne. Has to many side affects.

Certain birth control pills can help with acne, but as far as breasts becoming larger I have never heard of that one. Some womens breast become swollen and tender while on their periods, but not growing larger from the pill.

the pill *may* clear up certain kinds of acne, but it is not a guarantee. and it will not make your boobs bigger. it doesn't actually cause weight gain, thats a myth.
and please ignore these idiots saying that the pill causes cancer and strokes, or will damage your eggs. they don't know what they are talking about. the pill is very safe.

I would go with the IUD if I were you. I had the Mirena IUD for 3 years, and have recently had it removed to try for baby number 2. The IUD was painless to get in, I had it put in at my 6 week check up after my daughter was born. It is safe to use if you are nursing your newborn, and it lasts for 5 years!!! Plus you do not have to worry about pills or anything else. The only think I didn't know when I got the Mirena is that is can take awhile for your menstral cycles to return to normal after having the IUD removed. I had mine removed in December 2008, and in the past couple months my cycles have finally returned to normal, other than that, I HIGHLY recommend the IUD!

it makes your boobs bigger because it makes you gain weight and yes it is suppose to clear up acne because it regulates your hormones.

Sure never did either for me. It can cause weight gain, so I guess your boobs will get bigger if the rest of you does.

It is really different for everyone, it really depends on how your body reacts with the hormones. It could make your skin clear up while making the next persons skin worse that before.
