I want a small dog that I could dress up and love. And I want it to beable to go camping and to take it on walks somtimes. I want a dog that will sit in my lap. And just be calm most of the time.

MALTESE!!! they're great dogs and very fun! We have one and she has the greatest doggy personality.....trust me you will love these cute little creatures!

A miniature dachshund would be a perfect dog for you. I have a cream colored mini that is beautiful and only 11lbs full grown. This breed is loyal, loving, and has lots of character. Their need for exercise is quite low. We walk ours 20 mins. 4-5 times a week and play with him in the house daily. They are extremely friendly if well socialized from puppyhood.

if you want an enterjetic dog get a jack russell or rat teirer! if you want a really small one get a chihuiha or teacup chiuhaha!
jack russells are also good walking huntin and campin dogs!

Jack russel are hyper but they aren't always. I have a mix beagle and she a lap dog and calm for the most part

Well, If your looking for a dog that doesn't shed and is easy to train get a tiny toy poodle or a toy poodle. They need to be brushed onve a week and if you groom them so they are fluffy all over then they are soooo cute.....

weiner dogs aren't real barky, like camping, always under foot (or on a lap) fairly calm, from my experience.

get a maltese or a shitsu, they are great lap dogs, but also love going for long walks
