I'm a permanent resident and i was in abroad for 2 weeks during my vacation. When i came back through the LAX, immigration officials forgot to stamp my passport. What should i do? Is this a big problem when i go out out of the country in the future?

Don't give it a second thought if you have a green card.

As long as they put you in the computer there is no discrepancy. If you are asked when you go out, just explain what happened. It happens all the time, so even if they forgot to put you in the computer, it wouldn't cause a problem, since you will be going out, not coming in.

If there were ever a problem, the flight log proves you were on that plane and that it is a CBP error.

No. I've been abroad many times and they've only stamped my passport once.

For most countries it doesn't matter.

One time we went to Switzerland and my daughter was looking forward to getting her passport stamped like they did in some World Explorer PC game we had. We went though customs and they did do it so we asked if they could. The guy got all annoyed but he unlocked his drawer, took out his stamp and did hers.

Didn't they scan it when you went threw customs?? I just checked mine 17 entrees out of the country an no USA stamp. They scan it. No stamps??Did you have fun. They know you came back trust me. It's they want a Stamp record of where you have been outside of the USA.Remember the immigration form you filed out asking where you have been other than the country you were in??

Contact immigration and explain what happened, it may look a bit weary on your passport in the future, as per your concern.

well, if you are in Australia you should call the immigration centre and get help from them,
i would suggest that any country would take that serious, so you should correct your passport before you get into police's hand.

That happened to me. I didn't even notice it until I was home. When I left the country again, it was no big deal. They didn't even look at the past entry.

I think you should address the problem as soon as possible because any delay might be viewed as suspicious. But I don't know.
