11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile."

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
God is speaking to the people of Israel that he had put into captivity. He is saying they only have 70 more years of captivity, and then he will allow them to prosper again and bring them out of Babylonian captivity, IF they will call upon the Lord and follow Him.

That would be God speaking to his son when his son is on the earth in the last days.
The prosper wouldn't be implying what many of the televangelist would most likely try to get people to believe. That is, it isn't referring to riches, as too the materialistic things, such as money or gold etc.
His son returns to the earth in the last days as a man to harvest the crop he tilled. God's plans for would him have something to do with that.
I've noticed the many preachers trying to convinced their followers that the verses they read are directed directly to those who read those verses. Unfortunately, that's not true, which is one of the reasons why so many of people's prayers doesn't come true. Also, what preachers have been preaching doesn't always work for people who applies the verses.
That's another one of the false teachings: The preacher's saying the verse apply to you if you read it.
One of the reason people in the last days gets punished is because of idolatry and greed.
Look at the war the President has gotten into. The man is an oil executive. Is he fighting for his own benefit, or for the people's well being? Why would he put oil on the free market? The President and congress put the oil on the free market to make larger profits. He's fighting the war to protect his investments and profits. That sounds like a serious greedy man.
By the way, using one's own governmental position to benefit yourself is supposedly a conflict of interest. Which is supposed to be illegal.
How that President and congress gets away with what they do is beyond me. Seems like there's a lot of greedy people covering up for them.
Too many suffers when even one is greedy.
