if one did, killing would be an everyday thing. If a woman had a miscarriage, she would be stoned to death. You could not wear a cloth of two different threads. You couldn't eat pork. If a woman was raped, her raper would just have to pay her father some money....etc etc.

I hear a lot about the so called contradictions in the Bible, do you say there are contradictions because you have seen them? Or have you just heard others say that and you are Parroting them? The reason I ask is that I have heard about these contradictions, but never met anyone that has personally found one. It is always, "Well someone told me they are in there." Second hand reports are not good enough even in a court of Law why should I accept your second hand report of these supposed contradictions? On the other hand if you can give me specifics I will gladly debate you on a pint by point, verse by verse debate forum.

Think about this. Those remembering and trying to remember all that is written in their bible are following the stories of illiterate ancient tribesmen of 2 to 4 thousand years ago. Absurd to say the least.

At the end of the day you do what you can. G-d doesn't expect you to follow all of the laws. He gave us all these laws to show us what a perfect world should be like. So you must strive to be the best person you can and follow all the laws, and listen if theres something you can't do then go on to another law and begin to better yourself. Because i agree with you its hard but you gotta do what you can do.

First of all, lying in not a "little" sin. It is mentioned in the 10 commandments. But your right, the Bible makes it clear that ALL have sinned. That is why Jesus (God in the flesh), came to earth to live a perfect sinless life and take the wrath of Gods punishment for us.

The Bible does not contradict itself at all. We cannot live up to God's standards. That is what the Law of Moses is all about. That is why we need a savior to stand in for us as the song goes "we are weak while He is strong"....
That's also why there is forgiveness, because we are weak. It's the ones who think they don't need forgiveness that end up in Hell, not the ones who realize the errors of their ways. And we will sin every day until we die ,one way or another.

Well which part of the bible dop you want us to follow? Jews follow the Old Testament and Christians follow the new...it's a lot easier to follow the laws of the new covenant than the old....

In Canada we had a very devout Evangelist, he gave it all up when he learned that the 'Book of Job' was nothing more than a novel. So much for the Bible.

The God of my understanding cares only about "my motives"
Not my sucesses, as those are His sucesses.
I think of my self as a forever student of the Bible. God never gives me more understanding then I can handle, He meets me where I am. He fills my needs. We are all sinners from one degree to another, saved by amazing grace, INSPITE OF
ME!!!!! Not by works. (I liked what Dad of 4 said) Blessings
