I think that a song that is lovely is "come away with me" by Nora Jones. It is gentle and not syrupy sweet. The lyrics are very nice
"Come away with me and we'll kiss on a mountain top" is my favorite verse. This song does state love but is not too lovey-dovey. I am getting married in September and this will be our song. We both love it.
Congratulations and good luck!

need to know more about the man. They are all diff.
As a general rule they hate "chick music". Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Britney Spears.....I would choose something fun and upbeat. His for you is sure to be sappy and romantic so you want a nice compliment without bieng boring.
For mine right now it's Cross Canadian Ragweed. I think the title is "Maybe I miss". We had alot of long distance in our relationship so the song about calling her up and saying how much he misses her love is us.

One of the most common questions spouses ask when confronting a marriage crisis is this: How can I save my marriage if my partner doesn't want to help find a solution? How do I succeed I am trying to save my marriage on my own? Learn here https://tr.im/tgGbg
It is a typical enough story: one partner leaves, the other stays. One remains 'in love', the other is uncertain. Whatever it is that has caused a couple to be apart, the one person who remains bears the prospect, fear, doubt, desire, hope of saving his or her marriage' alone.

Try Ben Folds - The Luckiest.
It's a man singing, but the lyrics are beautiful.

Sway by PCD or This I Promise You by NSYNC Not too cheesy, yet still great lyrics! I chose Sway by PCD instead of Michael Buble because (to me) it's more sensual sounding.

"Stuck On You" Lionel Richie
Stuck on you
I've got this feeling down deep in my soul that I just can't lose
Guess I'm on my way
Needed a friend
And the way I feel now I guess I'll be with you 'til the end
Guess I'm on my way
Mighty glad you stayed
I'm stuck on you
Been a fool too long, I guess it's time for me to come on home
Guess I'm on my way
So hard to see
That a woman like you could wait around for a man like me
Guess I'm on my way
Mighty glad you stayed
Oh, I'm leaving on that midnight train tomorrow
And I know just where I'm going
I've packed up my troubles and I've thrown them all away
'Cause this time, little darling
I'm coming home to stay
I'm stuck on you
I've got this feeling down deep in my soul that I just can't lose
Guess I'm on my way
Needed a friend
And the way I feel now I guess I'll be with you 'til the end
Guess I'm on my way
I'm mighty glad you stayed
