Lucas, the Christain god, an invisible old man up in the sky, the god of an illiterate tribe of murdering Bronze Age desert nomads, is, along with the thousands of other gods across the span of human existence, a myth, a silly myth at the onset of the Third Millennium.

it is my opinion that god isn't so much an entity as it is a force. energy, if you will.
energy runs through everything, and has been here since the beginning of the universe. it can't be created or destroyed. energy meets more of the requirements for divinity than most deities do. lol.
furthermore, the basic concept of energy's spiritual nature seems to span across most belief system. the most obvious examples are pagan belief systems. what with the "energy direction". eastern religions often refer to an energy for such as mana or chi. perhaps even christianity... what is the holy spirit that god pours across the earth?
energy could definitely be considered god in a scientific sense, but is there anything more to it? i think so, but who knows? lol.

Lucas,
My brother, you have opened a can of philosophical worms on this one. Be prepared for the results. If I may add my two cents, this is a question which should be the central driving force of all human knowledge and endeavor. First and foremost, I believe that the Eternal Intelligence we mortals call "God", is inconceivable to human beings. He/She is Spirit, and cannot be perceived by us in any way. The common analogy of comparing an ant to a human, doesn't even come close to describing the gap between us and God. What seems to be most amazing to me, is that this limitless Intelligence, loves us, and seeks communion with us. He apparently considers us to be His offspring, and strongly desires us to consider Him as our Father, and to love Him in return. Apparently, in Eternity, we are to grow, learn, and develop our perfection to the point, where we can know Him directly. We are meant to be His family, and treat each other as brothers and sisters. As far as I know, and I have been looking into it for many years, this is as much as we can know about God, at this time in our development. We must develop our faith to make the connection. Many believe (myself included) that the Person we know as Jesus, is God personified, for our benefit. God in a form we can know directly, and love personally. If you are serious about this question, you need look no further than your heart, to find God. His Spirit dwells in the hearts of all normal minded people, constantly seeking communion with them. May God bless you, and guide you along the path of His choosing. May you find Him soon, and forever. Peace be unto you...........
Will
