For me, it is yet another example of what the Bible teaches. That even the Church will "fall away" from His teachings.

Obviously the leaders are no longer following the scriptures that blatantly speak against homosexuality.

Will the people follow the leaders or will they follow the bible?

One of the reasons why I'm glad I left that group 35 years ago.

The vote 2 years ago was 51 to 49 percent to change the policy to allow Gay Pastors to have partners. Which means about half of those Lutherans think its ok.

Homosexuals are only eligible for ordination if they agree to remain celebate.

I would not want to be affiliated with such a group.

Their current conference is going on this weekend. They hold a national conference once every other summer.

i actual observed this particularly some years in the past first happening as I went to Valparaiso college, a Lutheran-subsidized college by ability of most of the scholars interpreting to be clergy. the cases they seem to be a changin' -- with the aid of fact the music is going! for sure, comparable-intercourse marriage is transforming into extra perfect in cutting-part society, and the church is in basic terms reflecting that. i'm specific it particularly is a thank you to extend the numbers too, or in line with threat that's basically a technique in garnering help for it widespread. Hmmm, New Revised generic --> the as much as date version possibly?

i think it's a good thing; just because a person's homosexual doesn't mean that they're automatically a creep who should be ostracized. and being accepted by the church is, to me, a huge deal.

That is just a small sample. The "falling away" will be MUCH greater than that! People WILL believe lies in the end times.

Homosexuality can't hurt anyone as long as everyone knows whose gay and whose not. Christians are bothered that children will be hurt, but you can avoid that which you know. So get over it already.

Maybe the Pastors are celibate. In that case, it wouldn't matter. God hates the act of homosexuality, not homosexual people.

If it's "fall away" from love, compassion, and acceptance of all people......then let them fall and any other teachings suck.
