I'm due to have a baby in 3 months and so help me god I will NEVER allow my daughter to have a bratz doll.. My fiance and I call them "slut dolls". One of our neices loves the bratz and she also dresses like one.. at 10 years old I think it's wrong to have your tush hanging out from the bottom of your demin skirt and walking around with a prissy attitude.

I agree. Kids these days see so many trashy women on TV, they don't need to be playing with skanky dolls. My daughter is 6 and got a Bratz doll at her b-day party from a friend. We took it back to Walmart and exchanged it. I don't want her thinking it's OK to look like that. Kids these days need morals, and doll manufactures should realize that. They won't get a dime of my money.

Bratz dolls don't have ft they only have little nubs on the backside. My scene dolls have ft. Thats too undesirable that mom feels that way with reference to the dolls. i understand my daughter consistently have been given entertainment from the dolls. That mom could be the variety of guy or woman who might coach their toddler that they are ideal on an identical time as different little ones round her have some thing incorrect. I do think of the mum went thank you to extreme.

Thank you! I came across this book at Barnes & Noble, it's called "Stop Dressing Your 10 Year Old Like a Skank" or something to that effect. (Sorry, I can't remeber the author's name) but I COMPLETELY agree. I'm a 90's kid, and I'm thinking back on the Barbie dolls I used to play with not too long ago. What happened to the "Glitter Hair Barbie" or "Doctor Barbie". You know, innocent play? Everything now is directed towards how skanky girls can be. It's not healthy! I'd hate for my little girl to think she has to BE that in order to get positive attention. Those "**** dolls" should be yanked off the shelves PRONTO!

absolutely agree! to be honest it's not your nieces' fault...what she wears (at 10) is up to her parents..so if her parents are buying her those clothes THEY are setting a bad example and will have to deal w/it when she's a teen.
i HATE those dolls, they have more make-up on than any doll I've ever seen. my daughter is 18months old so i don't have to worry about this crap for a while, but i know one day ill have to deal w/it.
i have 2 older sons (11yrs and 9yrs) and i forbid certain toys for them too according to how i felt about it.
ya just have to follow through w/what you claim you WILL do. that's what i see a lot of parents do, they say they wont let their kid have some toy or other, but then when they have that kicking screaming toddler/older kid w/them in the store..it's another story.
you just have to hold firm to what you think is right or wrong, and eventually when they are older they will come to understand why.

Agreed.
Buy loads of Lego, and she'll never notice she doesn't have a Bratz, or that ugly ghetto 'Dora,' or any other of the gargoyles passing themselves off as cute toys...

I have 3 girls, ages 7,4,and 3 and i swear to whoever needs to be sworn to,my girls will never play with those dolls.....even barbie is getting bad!!! but on the other hand, dolls don't make the kids grow up bad...it is mostly parenting! so make sure you teach your kids the rights from worngs and hope they make the right choices in life!!! good luck and congrats!

You are totally right. When I was little, I loved the Bratz. Now I am against them because I think it's wrong for little girls to think that it's ok to dress sexy.
